Spotty won patrons menion award !!!

This is my dog Spotty.

This drawing is dear to me. Spotty passed away 2 years ago.

I am happy I drew this when he was alive and captured his personality.

I entered Spotty in  the pen and ink show and he won patrons mention award :-)

Overpower Completed!!!

This piece took more time than I expected.

Overpower was created to show how our lives can be overpowered by certain situations and life's daily pressure. I wanted to leave the outcome of Overpower up to the viewer to decide if this woman was overpowered by the force of evil or did she resist?

It took me approximately one week to complete. I used a rapidograph pen and ink on 140 cold press paper.

I wanted to take a break from my trees and use my pens.

Each aceo is unique......First I lay out the watercolor  (over the sink method)  wet on wet.....I let the color mingle any way they like....then when dried I look at the colors and determine what type of tree positing fits.....When I looked at the colors I saw a profile of a lions face in the background.....what do you see?
