revised Erased sketch

I spent the day sketching this. I wanted the main character to look angry while the other siblings are arguing.

Mysterious Clouds

Erased! sketch

Erased!

Hello everyone!
I started a new project today. I am writing and illustrating a children's book titled Erased.
It's about a young girl who lives with her mom, dad, ten brothers and sisters and a dog. She doesn't like being the youngest. She hates waiting to watch her cartoons and  playing video games  She wishes to be alone. Well, she gets her wish! Stay tuned to see what happens!!!
I started the first illustration today.
I will post a rough draft sketch. Please leave comments.

Brownies For Bella in progress!

Brownies For Bella in progress!

Today I pulled out the watercolors!!!

I finally did the sketch free hand and fixed things that were a little off on the first draft that was done in colored pencils. I am using 140 lb cold press paper 11x 15.
I used cerulean blue for the elephant skin, light green for the mama's dress, gamboge yellow for the table cloth,  and burnt sienna for the cabinets. Next is laying wet on wet washes of light violet for the floor and light green washes for the countertop.

Booming Bella!

I bought this book for my daughter Bella and she loves it!
she has it memorized!

Book Description

Booming Bella (Hardcover)

by Carol Ann Williams (Author), Tatjana Mai-Wyss (Illustrator)

Will Bella learn to use her inside voice?

Bella has lots of enthusiasm and a VERY loud voice. Try as she might, she just can''t remember to use her inside voice, and when her class visits the art museum, Bella''s big voice gets her in big trouble'and nearly ruins the trip for everyone. But when she accidentally gets on the wrong bus back to school, it turns out that top-notch shouting skills can sometimes come in handy.

This spunky character gives teachers and parents a fun way to discuss when to use inside voices and when it''s okay to shout.

Take A Slide On The Wild Side almost done!!!

I added the snow. I used white watercolor straight from the tube and used a dry brush to apply.  I had a problem with the ropes that are supposed to be attached to the mouse and the book.
I had to repaint over the ropes because I didn't like how it flowed.
